The offering of the just enriches the altar: a sweet odor before the Most High. The sacrifice of the just is accepted, never to be forgotten. With a generous spirit pay homage to the Lord, and do not spare your freewill gifts. With each contribution show a cheerful countenance, and pay your tithes in a spirit of joy.
Ben Sira 35:8-11
നീതിമാന്‍െറ ബലി, ബലിപീഠത്തെഅഭിഷേകം ചെയ്യുന്നു; അതിന്‍െറ സുഗന്‌ധം അത്യുന്നതന്‍െറ സന്നിധിയിലേക്ക്‌ ഉയരുന്നു.

അവിടുന്നാണ്‌ നിന്‍െറ ആയുസ്‌സിന്‍െറ ഉറപ്പ്‌. രക്‌ഷയുടെയും ജ്‌ഞാനത്തിന്‍െറയും അറിവിന്‍െറയും സമൃദ്‌ധി അവിടുന്ന്‌ തന്നെ. അവിടുന്ന്‌ നല്‍കുന്ന സമ്പത്ത്‌ ദൈവഭക്‌തിയാണ്‌.
ഏശയ്യാ 33 : 6
Think of the time of hunger in the time of plenty, poverty and need in the day of wealth.
Ben Sira 18:25
സമൃദ്‌ധിയുടെ കാലത്ത്‌ വിശപ്പിനെക്കുറിച്ചും , സമ്പത്തുകാലത്ത്‌ ദാരിദ്യ്രത്തെയുംവറുതിയെയും കുറിച്ചും ചിന്തിക്കുക.
