Let every person be subordinate to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been established by God.

ഓരോരുത്തനും മേലധികാരികള്‍ക്കു വിധേയനായിരിക്കട്ടെ. എന്തെന്നാല്‍, ദൈവത്തില്‍ നിന്നല്ലാതെ അധികാരമില്ല. നിലവിലിരിക്കുന്ന അധികാരങ്ങള്‍ ദൈവത്താല്‍ സ്‌ഥാപിതമാണ്‌.

Therefore, whoever resists authority opposes what God has appointed, and those who oppose it will bring judgment upon themselves.

ഓരോരുത്തര്‍ക്കും അവകാശപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതു കൊടുക്കുവിന്‍. നികുതി അവകാശപ്പെട്ടവനു നികുതി; ചുങ്കം അവകാശപ്പെട്ടവനു ചുങ്കം; ആദരം അര്‍ഹിക്കുന്നവന്‌ ആദരം; ബഹുമാനം നല്‍കേണ്ടവനു ബഹുമാനം.

If you have but one slave, treat him like yourself, for you have acquired him with your life’s blood; If you have but one slave, deal with him as a brother, for you need him as you need your life.
Ben Sira 33:31
നിനക്ക്‌ ഒരു ദാസനുണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ അവനെനിന്നെപ്പോലെ കരുതണം. നീ അവനെ രക്‌തം കൊടുത്തുവാങ്ങിയതാണല്ലോ. നിനക്കൊരു ദാസനുണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ അവനെസഹോദരനെപ്പോലെ കരുതുക; അവനെ നിനക്കു നിന്നെപ്പോലെതന്നെആവശ്യമാണ്‌.

കൊയ്‌ത്തിനുശേഷം കാലാപെറുക്കുകയുമരുത്‌. മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിലെ ഫലങ്ങളും തീര്‍ത്തുപറിക്കരുത്‌. വീണുകിടക്കുന്ന പഴം പെറുക്കിയെടുക്കുകയുമരുത്‌. പാവങ്ങള്‍ക്കും പരദേശികള്‍ക്കുമായി അതു നീക്കിവയ്‌ക്കുക. ഞാനാകുന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെദൈവമായ കര്‍ത്താവ്‌.

But if you do not obey me and keep holy the sabbath day, if you carry burdens and come through the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath, I will set fire to its gates—a fire never to be extinguished—and it will consume the palaces of Jerusalem.

എന്നാല്‍, നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്നെ അനുസരിച്ച്‌ സാബത്ത്‌ ശുദ്‌ധമായി ആചരിക്കാതിരിക്കുകയും സാബത്തില്‍ ചുമടുമായി ജറുസലെ മിന്‍െറ കവാടങ്ങളിലൂടെ പ്രവേശിക്കുകയും ചെയ്‌താല്‍ ഞാന്‍ അതിന്‍െറ കവാടങ്ങളില്‍ തീ കൊളുത്തും. അതു ജറുസലെമിലെ കൊട്ടാരങ്ങളെ വിഴുങ്ങും; ആരും അതു കെടുത്തുകയില്ല.

നീയുദ്‌ധത്തിനു പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോള്‍ ശത്രുവിനു നിന്നെക്കാള്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ കുതിരകളും രഥങ്ങളും സൈന്യങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടെന്നു കണ്ടാലും ഭയപ്പെടരുത്‌. എന്തെന്നാല്‍, നിന്നെ ഈജിപ്‌തില്‍ നിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നിന്‍െറ ദൈവമായ കര്‍ത്താവ്‌ നിന്നോടുകൂടെയുണ്ട്‌.

and say to them, “Hear, O Israel! Today you are drawing near for battle against your enemies. Do not be weakhearted or afraid, alarmed or frightened by them.
Deuteronomy 20:3
അവന്‍ ഇപ്രകാരം പറയട്ടെ: ഇസ്രായേലേ, കേള്‍ക്കുക, ശത്രുക്കള്‍ക്കെതിരായി നിങ്ങള്‍യുദ്‌ധത്തിനിറങ്ങുകയാണ്‌. ദുര്‍ബല ഹൃദയരാകരുത്‌; അവരുടെ മുന്‍പില്‍ ഭയപ്പെടുകയോ പരിഭ്രമിക്കുകയോ അരുത്‌.

For it is the Lord , your God, who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies and give you victory.”
Deuteronomy 20:4
നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ കര്‍ത്താവാണു നിങ്ങളുടെ കൂടെ വന്ന്‌ ശത്രുക്കള്‍ക്കെതിരായിയുദ്‌ധംചെയ്‌തു വിജയം നേടിത്തരുന്നത്‌.
